Microsoft reported results for the first quarter of 2023, the third quarter of their fiscal year. There is always a lot to cover with this company. I will be splitting the article into an overall financial analysis and a more particular breakdown of each segment. Keep in mind I’ll plot charts as if Microsoft had a fiscal year in line with the calendar year.

Thank you very much for the kind comment! Even though we are in the first quarter of the calendar year 2023, Microsoft is at the third quarter of 2023 their fiscal year. For whatever reason, they are 2 quarters ahead in their FY.
Hahaha no reason to. I never understood why some companies have a fiscal year different to the calendar's. Thank you for the question though, take care!
